Dominica/China Economic/Technical Cooperation Agreement to be signed for West Coast Road Project11/24/2016 A contract for the Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement for the China aided West Coast Road post Erika Rehabilitation Project, will reportedly be signed today.
Earlier this year exchange letters were signed between the Governments of China and Dominica for Rehabilitation of the West Coast Road. The West Coast Rehabilitation Project will include the replacement of bridges destroyed at Macoucherie, Batallie and Point Round; rehabilitation of culvert crossing and drainage infrastructure at Mero, Macoucherie, Salisbury, Batallie, Coulibistrie and Picard. It will also include the repair of damaged sections of the road surface in identified areas including the Jimmit-Petro Caribe junction, Tarreau, St Joseph, Mero, Macoucherie, Salisbury, Batallie, Bioche and Dublanc. And the replacement of traffic signs, road markings, reflective road studs will also be included. At today's signing ceremony, addresses are expected from Dominica's PM Roosevelt Skerrit, and China's Ambassador to Dominica, Lu Khun.
