Dominica's CMO acknowledges Cuba made a great contribution to the health sector over the years
Chief Medical Officer Dr David Johnson says the Republic of Cuba has made a tremendous contribution to Dominica's health sector over the years.
Recently, Dominica and Cuba signed a contract for the renewal of the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Cuba and the Ministry of Health & Environment of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
Dominica first entered into a cooperation agreement with Cuba in 1997.
And Dr Johnson says at present, there are Dominican/Cuban trained graduates as well as Cuban trained providers throughout the entire Ministry of Health.
