Dominica’s main sea port to receive a $12.5M facelift reportedly thanks to Venezuelan Government
Dominica’s main sea port is down to receive a $12.5M facelift thanks to the Venezuelan Government. Chief Executive Officer of the Dominica Air & Sea Port Authority Benoit Bardouille says the facility which was constructed in 1976, has been in a dilapidated state for several years.
Bardouille says some of the old concrete structures on the port will be taken out, and those that have been compromised will be replaced. He says works commenced about a month ago will be completed within the next 12 months.
Bardouille says the funds will also go towards the refurbishment of the Longhouse Port in Portsmouth and some repairs at Cabrits.
