Dominica's sole electricity provider, DOMLEC, says it is working feverishly to address some issues facing its Pay-As- U-Go (PAUG) system.
According to Acting Commercial Manager, Desmond Kelshall, the PAUG system relies on a consistent communication line. When this line is affected it impacts the ability of the system to alert customers of their balance via text messaging.
Senior Customer Service Representative, Edison St. Jean, says they are currently in dialogue with their providers to address this issue which he hopes will be eliminated soon.
Meanwhile, he assured customers that this problem does not have any effect on the billing process and its accuracy.
