DOWASCO PRO dismisses questionable water quality allegations by an anonymous social media source11/23/2016 In an interview with Q95 news, Dominica Water & Sewerage Company (DOWASCO) Public Relations Officer, Edward Registe dismissed allegations made by an anonymous source on social media, regarding the Company’s water quality.
A recent statement released by an anonymous source was released on the social medium WhatsApp stating the following – “WARNING!!! Boil all water before drinking. There were 2 people from St. Thomas who got the flu while visiting DA. They returned to St. Thomas but got even more sick. They were flown to the USA because they were so ill. One survived but the other died. An investigation was done and they realized that there is something in the water here that is affecting the liver. Eventually leading to their sudden death.” Edward Registe says this statement is false, misleading, slanderous, mischievous and against the best interest of the general public, He says the water quality will continue to be of paramount importance to DOWASCO, and guaranteed that the company will devotedly do all in its power to maintain a safe and secure water supply for all. my honest concern is the colihaut water system....it just not good mr. ragiste.....it is soil and water coming from our pipe. please fix it. thank you.
