DPSU General Secretary reveals Government offered Public Servants a 0% wage raise over next 3 years1/25/2017 DPSU General Secretary Thomas Letang has revealed that Government offered Public Servants a 0% wage increase over the next 3 years. The DPSU proposed a salary increase of 15% for the period 2015 to 2018.
Letang told state-owned radio on Tuesday; while the union would not engage in negotiations with the Skerrit Administration over the airwaves, it does not support the wage freeze that Government has offered. He said, “The negotiations have resumed. We have responded to the Government’s proposal, and that is basically where we are. We have not had agreement on any single matter. The Government team is supposed to go back to their principle, and relay our position to them…and while we will not give every detail as to what transpired at the negotiations, we can say the Government’s offer is a wage freeze for three years”.
