DPSU General Secretary wants Government to pay public officers retroactively, for the two years prior to salary negotiations
DPSU General Secretary, Thomas Letang, says the Union wants the Government to pay public officers retroactively, for the two years prior to negotiations for salary increase.
Letang added that this negotiation process between the two entities should have taken three months to conclude and not two years.
He continued that the only tenable reason for delay in negotiations on the government’s side should be the absence of members of the cabinet, as in these matters government must bring the union’s proposals and ideas to cabinet for a final decision.
