Dr Thomson Fontaine draws attention to arrest of another Dominica Diplomatic Passport holder

​Economist Dr. Thompson Fontaine has drawn the attention of Dominicans, to Iran’s arrest of one of Dominica’s Diplomats, Iranian National Alireza Zibahalat Monfared, for embezzlement of billions of dollars. Monfared who is 43 years old, was arrested after a lengthy manhunt, and was extradited to face trial in Iran, after extradition through Havana and Moscow.  He is also the chairman of the DLP government's My Dominica Trade House.com initiative.
 
My Dominica Trade House is a group of companies acting individually in different fields of business nationally and internationally. Reports indicate, Mr. Alireza Monfared was extradited from Cuba to Moscow on 22nd January 2017, and he is to face trial in Teheran. Unfortunately, Monfared may face the death penalty because of the amount of money he embezzled.  According to Dr. Fontaine, Monfared received his passport in 2014, with the help of Attorney Alix Lawrence.
