Drug Prevention Officer cautions shop keepers that selling alcohol to minors is a violation of the law
Drug Prevention Officer Leandra Cuffy, cautions that selling or allowing minors to participate in alcohol consumption is a violation of the law.
The epidemic of underage drinking is a worldwide dilemma, and despite legislation condemning these actions, there is still work to be done.
Cuffy states that while there are some shopkeepers who refuse to sell alcohol to minors, there are still a few who continue to do so.
She says every child needs to be protected from alcohol exposure, and went on to caution parents who knowingly allow their children to consume alcohol, that this is a form of abuse.
