Education Minister recognizes contribution of Childfund Caribbean to Dominica’s social development
Education Minister, Petter St Jean, says Childfund Caribbean has contributed significantly to the social development of Dominica.
Childfund Caribbean which has been present in the region and Dominica since 1985, held its official phase out ceremony at the Arawak House of Culture in Roseau Monday night.
Childfund Caribbean will officially leave the region in August of this year.
Officials from St Vincent & the Grenadines Child Federation, the local implementation partner of Childfund Caribbean in St Vincent were also present at the ceremony.
St Jean says Childfund Caribbean has been integrated in almost every institution in Dominica.

The Childfund Caribbean office is a branch of Childfund International which started in Richmond Virginia in the US over 75 years ago.
Currently Childfund is present in over 30 countries to include 11 Childfund Alliance countries serving over 50 million children and their families worldwide.
