Electoral Commission Member accuses Attorney Anthony Astaphan of misleading Dominica’s Citizens10/24/2016 Member of the Electoral Commission Hillary Shillingford is accusing Attorney Anthony Astaphan of misleading the Citizens of Dominica, as regards section 56 (3) of the laws of Dominica governing the establishment and operations of the Electoral Commission which in actual fact states that the Electoral Commission Chairman is appointed by the President, acting in his own deliberate judgment. Based on the recent statements made by Attorney Anthony Astaphan about that section of the constitution, Shillingford says Astaphan is misleading the people of Dominica, and is now raising questions about Astaphan’s credibility, and wondering whether Astaphan the senior council prepares his own cases. Here’s Hillary Shillingford with more; Shillingford is also accusing Anthony Astaphan of exposing the DLP’s violation of the constitution, as regards the role of the president in appointing the chairman of the Electoral Commission.
