The Establishment, Personnel and Training Department and the Caribbean Centre for Development Administration will be hosting a Round Table Discussion under the theme, “Public Sector Transformation: Lessons Learned, Success Stories.”
The discussion will be held at the Fort Young Hotel on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 9:00a.m According to a release, the Round Table Discussion forms part of a consultancy for the Design and Development of a Comprehensive Public Sector Transformation Programme. The purpose of the Consultancy is to undertake an evaluation of the implementation of the Medium Term Public Sector Reform Strategy and assist in the Development of a Comprehensive Public Sector Transformation Strategy and Action Plan which will improve and sustain government’s performance through coordinated initiatives and interventions. The release states further that the discussion will provide a forum for key stakeholders including Public Sector, Private Sector, Academia, Unions and Non-Governmental Organizations to discuss past and present reform practices, lessons learned, success stories and elements that need to be strengthened, revised or adopted into the new Public Sector Transformation Strategy. The major highlight of the session will be a Round Table Discussion which will include representatives from regional Public Services, namely: Dr. Cletus Bertin, Associate Consultant, CARICAD, St. Lucia; Michelle Donavan Stevens, Director Human Resources/British Virgin Islands; Mrs. Verniece Pottinger-Scott, Director General, Public Sector Transformation and Modernization/Jamaica and Miss Cecillia Carr, Senior Administrative Officer/Public Sector Reform/Dominica.
