First Container of supplies arrive this month under Japanese grant-aid industrial products agreement
Meanwhile, the first container of supplies under an agreement signed with Japan in January 2014, is expected to arrive later this month. The announcement was made by Foreign Affairs Minister Francine Baron on Friday morning, as she addressed a signing of diplomatic notes geared at facilitating the transfer of US $1.62 million in grant-aid for disaster reduction equipment to the Dominica.
Last year, Government signed an agreement with Japan under its grant aid for provision of industrial products valued at US$1 million. Baron says the container of supplies include industrial equipment for the ministries of Health & Environment, Public Works and Education.
