Telecommunications giant Flow Dominica, presented a $200,000 cheque to CEO of the Discover Dominica Authority, Collin Piper, on Friday 20th January, signalling its commitment to being the Headline Sponsor of the Carnival celebrations, towards preserving the heritage, culture and festivities on the island. The presentation took place at an event which marked the official launch of the 2017 Carnival Season in Dominica.
Jeffrey Baptiste, General Manager of Flow said, “this is not a one-off sponsorship to only leverage our brand during the festivities on the island, but our commitment to the people of the Dominica, the Government and all other stakeholders, that we are serious about supporting the continuous development of arts, culture and heritage in Dominica.”
Flow’s sponsorship to the Discover Dominica Authority is not it’s only contribution to carnival this year. Baptiste said the company has put significant resources, both financial and otherwise, towards supporting many groups, for their involvement in the “The Real Mas” this year.
