Fmr Dominica UN Ambassador Vince Henderson tight-lipped about his new diplomatic job in the US8/26/2016 Former Dominica permanent representative to the UN, Vince Henderson is remaining tight-lipped about a new diplomatic positioned that may have been offered to him by the government of Dominica. Ambassador Henderson represented Dominica for the last six (6) years, as the country's Permanent Representative to the UN. However, former government minister Loreen Bannis-Roberts has been appointed Dominica's newest Permanent Representative to the UN. Bannis-Roberts who served as Liaison Officer for Diaspora Affairs in the USVI, presented her credentials to Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon on August 22, 2016, at the UN in NYC. Ambassador Henderson says while he's been offered a position, he cannot reveal the details just yet. However, Prime Minister Skerrit has since disclosed that Henderson will be assuming the role of Dominica's Ambassador to the United States and permanent representative to the Organization of American States. He will be replacing Hubert Charles who's held these posts since June 2010. Henderson says he had the pleasure of helping Dominica move its development agenda forward upon taking up the post in March 2010.
