As the Caribbean continues the fight against climate change, in the face of increases in intensity and frequency of droughts in the region, a recent FAO report claims that countries in the region must enhance their capabilities to deal with this and other extreme weather-related challenges, so as to ensure food security and eradicate hunger.
Former Government productivity consultant, Parry Bellot, has proposed that Dominica being the land of water, should take on the responsibility of supplying water to drought stricken islands, and suggests that the water be distributed via boat or underground pipeline.
