Former PM Edison James says House Speaker Alix Boyd-Knights is provoking the parliamentary opposition

​Former Prime Minister of Dominica Edison James believes House Mrs. Alix Boyd-Knights is provoking the parliamentary opposition, and to some extent, its supporters as well.
 
Mr. James says this is so because of her many requests for security, over claims she made on numerous occasions, that her life is in danger. James noted that no other speakers before Mrs. Boyd-Knights asked for security details, because they carried out their duties transparently, impartially and without fail.
 
The Former Prime Minister believes the reason Mrs. Boyd-knights is asking for security, is because she does not possess these qualities, in her capacity as speaker of the house.
 
According to James “she claims that her life is in danger from time to time, because she knows that she is provoking the UWP by manipulating sections of the law, to obstruct the presentations of the parliamentary opposition on significant issues of state, which need to be addressed.
