Former Soufriere MP, Ian Pinard, says the ruling Dominica Labour Party has a very good track record in creating employment for its citizens.
Pinard says more persons are employed in the Soufriere constituency under the DLP administration than in previous years.
The former MP says there is only a 2% unemployment rate in that constituency. However, Q95 has been unable to obtain independent verification of the accuracy of this statistic.
He says the construction of the new Jungle Bay in Soufriere will seek to create more jobs for persons in that district. Jungle Bay Resort took a decision to relocate to Soufriere from the Delices community, after
Tropical Storm Erica severely damaged its property, which had been established there for several years.
