Officials of the DLP administration meet with displaced residents of Petite Savanne yesterday Monday 29th August. The meeting which was held at the Goodwill Parish Hall, was expected to will highlight the Government's plan for resettlement of the community.
Approximately 2 months ago, a contract was signed between the Government of Dominica and ‘Montreal Management Consultants Establishment (MMCE), for the construction of 315 houses at Bellevue Chopin.
Government had deemed the Petite Savanne Community to be unsafe, immediately following the passage of Tropical Storm Erika last year. Q95 will bring you more information about the outcomes of that meeting as soon as these becomes available.
