Government promises new hospital will minimize Dominican travel abroad for medical attention
Dominica's PM Roosevelt Skerrit says upon completion the new National Hospital will seek to minimize the number of Dominicans who travel abroad for medical attention.
He says the new National Hospital will also bring tremendous benefits to Dominica's economy.
On Monday, Mr Skerrit and his Cabinet of Ministers visited the ongoing works on the grounds where the new National Hospital is being constructed.

Meantime, Minister for Health Dr Kenneth Darroux says, the new National Hospital will be equipped with a cadre of local specialized doctors.
He says an equipment subcommittee has also been put in place, to secure all necessary machinery needed for the new National Hospital.
