Government says Dominican Farmers can expect more fertilizer soon, compliments of the Government of Morocco.
In his update to the nation on Friday, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit revealed that during his recent travels, he negotiated aid in the form of fertilizer, for the Dominican Agricultural Sector. Skerrit says the new shipment is expected to arrive in Dominica in late February to early March 2017.
In 2014, the Moroccan Government reportedly provided a total of 240 tonnes of fertilizer valued at about EC$300,000, to aid Dominica’s Agricultural Sector. However, the distribution of that fertilizer has been the focus of much controversy for some time since.
