Government says Dominica’s North will be developed to the standard of Cabrits Resort Kempinski8/25/2016 Acting Prime Minister Dr Colin McIntyre has pledged the government's support for developing the north of the island, to meet the standards of the Cabrits resort Kempinski resort being constructed in Douglas Bay, Portsmouth. Dr McIntyre says it is imperative to raise the standard of the environment of that resort. Range Developments recently began construction work on the Cabrits resort Kempinski, a 160-room hotel in Douglas Bay, close to the town of Portsmouth. This is said to be the first development under the country's Citizenship by Investment Program, where investors can obtain citizenship of Dominica by purchasing a share for US$220,000 in a limited partnership structure. McIntyre says he is certain funds can be made available through the government, to assist in this development. McIntyre says persons in the service industry also have to develop to meet the needs of the resort. AG Prime Minister Dr Colin McIntyre
