Government to use a mix of loans, grants and non-tax funds to finance an international airport
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has given the assurance that the construction of an International Airport is still on the agenda of the DLP Government, but financing still remains a concern.
Mr Skerrit says financing the airport through loans will present a major challenge for the country, in terms of repayment of this loan. However, he says a mix of loans, grants and funds from non-tax sources, will make an international airport a reality for Dominica.
He has however given his Government's commitment to constructing an international airport for Dominica, especially with the construction of more hotel rooms on the Island.
