Gracelyn Victor of Salisbury is this year’s recipient of a West Coast Cooperative Credit Union scholarship to attend secondary school, for the next five years.
According to a release, each year, the society awards a student on the basis of merit to attend secondary school. The West Coast secondary scholarship provides for text books, stationery, transportation and payment of examination fees for the scholars’ school life provided she/he performs creditably. Continuing West Coast scholars, Chalika Vidal, Lanaya Townsend from Salisbury and Grace Vidal from Coulibistrie, who are now into their forth, third and second years at secondary school, also received their text books and stationery for the upcoming school year. This scholarship is another way in which the WCCCU adds value to the communities in its service and to the quality of life of its members.
