Health Educator, Mignon Rolle, advises against the dangers of tobacco one month after “No Smoking Day” on May 9.
According to Rolle, when lit, tobacco produces carbon monoxide, a gas emitted from combustion processes – the same found in car exhaust.
She says, while the body needs oxygen to thrive, when carbon monoxide enters the blood stream it bonds to blood cells even better than oxygen, competing with the much needed element of life.
