Dr. Kenneth Darroux, Minister for Health & Environment addresses concerns over bed capacity in the new national hospital.
At the ground breaking ceremony on August 8, it was mentioned that 225 beds would be a part of the new hospital. At present the PMH houses approximately 200 beds, and it was felt that the new hospital would only house a few extra beds.
The minister stated that the 225 beds will be in addition to the already existing beds in hospital bringing the bed capacity to a total of 338.
