Jeweler’s International located at Fort Young Hotel in Roseau robbed at gunpoint Saturday morning5/23/2016 Jeweler’s International was robbed at gunpoint on Saturday morning. The store is operated by Ivor and Nancy Nassief, and is located downstairs the Fort Young Hotel on Dame Mary Eugenia Charles Boulevard, also known as the Bay Front in Roseau.
A source indicated that three (3) masked men entered the establishment sometime between 9.00 am and 9.15 am on Saturday 21st May, and held up the security officer on duty at gunpoint. They then allegedly robbed the business place and escaped in white HRV vehicle, registration #TL 219. Police Public Relations Officer, Pellam Jno Baptiste confirmed the robbery, but indicated that further details would be made available later. However, an unofficial police report also indicates that “One of the men held the security at gun point while the two others stole Rolex watches among other things”. The police are said to be investigating the incident, and they are urging members of the public with any information on the whereabouts of this vehicle to contact them.
