La Plaine MP, Petter St. Jean has come under scrutiny since three farmers claimed they were allegedly held captive and beaten in the basement of the minister’s house by the Minister and his son.
The trio says the Minister accused them of stealing from his farm.
Two of those claiming to have been kidnapped by the Minister spoke to Q95 recently.
However St Jean denies any involvement in the alleged kidnapping in La Plaine.
In a post on his Facebook page, St. Jean labeled the reports as “a malicious attempt by criminal elements in La Plaine to tarnish my good name and that of other community members.” “Contrary to information which was circulated, I was and have been subjected to regular theft of agricultural produce and the entire community bears record of this fact.”
