LaPlaine Disaster Preparedness Mngt Committee Chairman outraged by MP St Jean’s negative comments8/30/2016 Chairman of the La Plaine Disaster Preparedness Management Committee Jason Fontaine says his perception of the Labour Party has changed, due to statements which he says were made by Education Minister Peter St. Jean, about the people of LaPlaine, who had expressed their concerns over the pollution of the Taberi River, by a pig farmer. Jason Fontaine says he spoke with Education Minister Peter St. Jean recently, and St. Jean said he would not attend any meeting of the La Plaine Disaster Preparedness Management Committee, because he says the committee is being political about the issue of pollution. It is alleged that the residents of LaPlaine, including supporters of the Labour Party in Dominica and in the Diaspora, are expressing disgust about Education Minister Peter St. Jean, about what they are said to be describing as his paranoia over partisan politics, whereby he seems incapable of separating political issues, from issues of national concern.
