The United Workers Party has embodied the definition of civil disobedience, in their democratic stance, boldly refusing to submit to the DLP administration. In an interview with Q95 news, the leader of the united workers party has made it clear on where the team stands as it relates to democratic leadership and the trust and obedience that usually accompanies such societies leaders. He says, “We do not trust Roosevelt Skerrit, and his exercise of leadership at this time” claiming the PM has stood in the way of electoral reform, which is the “Backbone of Democracy” and refuses to account for over a billion dollars of the people’s money. As a result, in civilized democracies we do not have responsibility at all to obey unlawful authority. The team leader says that as result of these aforementioned issues, the team will not be in obedience with his rules, orders, or decisions, nor will we submit to his authority.
