Opposition Leader, Lennox Linton, has described recent comments of Police Chief Daniel Carbon as "hypocritical".
At a media briefing Monday, Carbon gave the Force's commitment to uphold the Laws of Dominica and to implement those laws specifically as it relates to civil disobedience and incitements to violence. His comments came on the heels of calls by certain members of the public to block the roads of the Marigot constituency. Linton, in response to Carbon statements, reminded the public of complaints made to Police Chief Carbon by himself on two occasions to which he has not received any response to date. The letters dated March 21st 2013 and February 5th 2016 spoke to statements made by PM Skerrit and Mr. Lennox Lawrence which Linton says put the executive members and supporters of the UWP in fear of harm occasioning to themselves and properties.
