Outspoken Pastor, Randy Rodney, says they are still awaiting a response from Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit for a letter delivered to his office on March 16th 2016. The letter, written by the Coalition of Pastors and Church leaders, dealt with the child abuse scourge here and guidelines to address the issue. Rodney says seventeen days following the April 1st deadline and they still have not received an acknowledgement or response from the Prime Minister or his office on that matter. However, he says they will persist in ensuring that this matter is kept at the forefront. The letter, signed by 23 pastors and church leaders here, called on all leaders to approach their responsibility with utmost importance and for archaic laws to be reviewed. It also called for public officials convicted of sexual offenses to be banned from public office at least for a term and for the establishment a family court and a sexual offences registry.
