Coordinator of the Maths Power Contest and Learning Advisor for Mathematics in Dominica, Clement Vital believes the National Math Power contest has met its objective, of improving the performance of Math Students in the Secondary and Primary schools. Mr. Vital added that Parents must put more effort in their school work, especially in reviewing math work as math Is a need for any career in life. Meanwhile, Vital is expressing optimism about the National Math Power Contest eliminations carded for today Tuesday 15th March 2016 at 2:00 PM, for Primary Schools across the island.
Mr. Vital says after the eliminations which consist of 12 clusters, the top 24 schools who survive the eliminations will be allowed to participate in the Semi-Finals carded for 23rd March 2016. He also informed the media that the Secondary School Math Competition will begin on 12th of April 2016, and the finals for both Primary and Secondary schools will be held at the Arawak House of Culture on 20th April 2016, at 10 AM.
