Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Harold Guiste, says it is of extreme importance that persons in the agriculture sector here understand the value of production and consumer satisfaction. This as extension staff, credit institutions and other stakeholders engaged in training for increasing the value of stable commodities within the agriculture sector got underway Wednesday. Guiste says farmers and others in the agriculture sector are to be properly trained on meeting and satisfying the demands of customers. Guiste says there are several matters to be addressed as it relates to meeting the needs of consumers. Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture Harold Guiste The value chain validation training is being conducted by the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture & the Banana Accompanying Measures (BAM).
At the end of the training workshop, 11 manuals will generated for use within the agriculture sector here.
