​The Ministry of Education has pledged its continued support towards improving Early Childhood education here.
 
November is Early Childhood Development month in Dominica, and this year, it is being celebrated under the theme, "Rebuilding, rethinking early childhood development."
 
On Friday last week, an early childhood development national symposium was held at the Arawak House of Culture to officially commence activities for the month.
 
Chief Education Officer Melena Fontaine spoke on behalf of Dominica's Education Minister Petter St Jean.

Meanwhile, Assistant Education Officer for Early Childhood Education Veda George is calling for a paradigm shift on how children are taught at some of the preschools in Dominica.
 
And George says there is need to rethink early childhood development.
