Mother of the late police officer Stanley Toussaint expresses her joy in the court’s decision to have her son buried in his community of San Sauveur. The court matter was between some members of Toussaint’s family and his common-law partner who have been at odds since Toussaint passed away on March 21, 2021, at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH). The late marine officer’s family requested to have him laid to rest in the community he was raised, stating that would have been what he wanted, but his partner demanded that it be done in the city of Roseau. Speaking to Q95 this morning Miss Toussaint said that was the best decision. She says she knew in heart that if he wasn’t buried home, he would not rest in peace. She says it will take some time for her to get over the fact, because he was her right hand, but ultimately everyone is happy with the decision.
