Ms Tiffany Eloi of the Portsmouth Secondary School (PSS) has been crowned Miss Carnival Teen 20162/1/2016 Ms Tiffany Eloi of the Portsmouth Secondary School (PSS) has been crowned Miss Carnival Teen 2016. PSS has therefore retained the crown from the last competition in 2015. Ms Eloi was sponsored by Ross University, and was crowned by Miss Teen Dominica 2015, Lecresha Wallace.
Eloi won awards for Best Talent, Best Spectacular Creation, Best Evening Wear, Best in Evening Wear, Best response to question, and Miss Photogenic. The show took place in Roseau on Sunday 31st January 2016. Tatyana Dangleben of the Convent High School emerged 1st runner-up. She won the Best Speech and Best in Spectacular Creation awards. Emelda Boston of the Dominica Grammar School emerged 2nd runner up. Nadege Barber of the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School was awarded Miss Congeniality by the contestants themselves. The other contestants were Marcella Green of the Goodwill Secondary School, sponsored by Cadrec; Lisa Samuel of the St. Martin’s Secondary School, sponsored by New India Assurance Co Ltd; and Natorah Francis of the Pierre Charles Secondary School, sponsored by P.H. Williams & Co Ltd. The pageant was organized by the Waitukubuli Dance Theatre Company which is celebrating its 45th Anniversary this year.
