National Security Minister says politics has to be put aside in relation to the development of Dominica

National Security Minister Rayburn Blackmoore says politics has to be put aside in relation to the development of Dominica.
The minister made these remarks in light of the ongoing controversy involving the contract for the construction of the new Roseau West Bridge.
Joint Consultative Committee on the Construction Sector (JCCCS) is questioning the circumstances under which the contract to construct a new west bridge in Roseau was awarded to NSG Management and Technical services ltd of Barbados.
NSG was contracted by the Dominica government for the demolition and the reconstruction of the West Bridge, reconstruction of retaining walls and associated drainage works between the West Bridge and the EC Loblack Bridge as well as dredging the Roseau River between the Dominica/China Friendship Bridge and the EC Loblack Bridge.
And Blackmoore says this project is aimed at building back better post TS Erika.

The contract which was signed on Wednesday April 13 2016 is valued at $18,182,437.35
