NBD cops ECCB Good Corporate Citizen Award for Customer Service, Financial Education, Empowerment11/11/2016 The National Bank of Dominica (NBD) Limited has captured the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) Good Corporate Citizen Award, once more, for Customer Service and Financial Education and Empowerment
It was among three banks awarded at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) headquarters in St Kitts on 9 November 2016, according to a press release issued by the bank on Thursday November 10, 2016. Managing Director of the National Bank of Dominica, Ellingworth Edwards accepted the award from Hilary Hazel, Financial Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Government of St Kitts & Nevis and ECCB Board Member for St Kitts and Nevis, at an award ceremony. In 2013 and 2014, NBD was awarded the ECCB’s Good Corporate Citizen Award for cultural development, community outreach and social services. In 2015, the Best Corporate Citizen Award among ECCU Commercial Banks went to the National Bank of Dominica Ltd, for its outstanding contribution to the overall development and welfare of the people of Dominica. The ECCB’s Good Corporate Citizen Awards are presented to banks which make outstanding contributions in the respective categories, while the Best Corporate Citizen Award is presented to the bank which demonstrates significant contribution to the overall enhancement of the ECCU, through human resource development and sustained community outreach. Banks are assessed for demonstrating social responsibility in the areas of: Educational Development; Community Outreach and Social Services; Environmental Awareness; Sports; Cultural Development; Customer Service; and Financial Education and Empowerment.
