New Chinese Ambassador gives kudos to Government for its efforts in rebuilding following TS Erika

​New Chinese Ambassador to Dominica HE Lu Khun has commended the Government of Dominica on its efforts to rebuild the country, following the passage of TS Erika.
 
Ambassador Lu says he was impressed with what he saw upon arrival in Dominica, and what the Government has achieved thus far, considering its limited resources.
 
HE Lu Khun is China's 5th Resident Ambassador accredited to Dominica. He follows the tour of duty of HE Li Jiang Ning, who served in Dominica from January 8, 2014, to October 16, 2016.
 
He made these remarks at a recent contract signing for the Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement, and the implementation agreement for the China aided West Coast Road post Erika Rehabilitation Project.

The project funded by the Chinese Government, will see the rebuilding and replacement of infrastructure on the west coast road, which was damaged during TS Erika in August 2015.
