Newley elected Kalinago Chief, Lorenzo Sanford has received a promise from Finance Minister Roosevelt Skerrit that he will make him the most successful Chief ever?

​Newley elected Chief of the Kalinago Territory, Lorenzo Sanford has received the full backing of the prime minister.
 
The new Kalinago chief was in the Parliament on Tuesday, when the Prime Minister delivered the 2019 – 2020 National Budget address.
 
As Minister for Finance, the prime minister promised to empower the young Kalinago chief with his full support and said that he is confident that Mr. Sanford will be one of the most successful Kalinago Chiefs.
 
Skerrit said, “As the minister of finance, I will empower you to so do young man.”
 
PM said he himself being a young man at the age of 47, it is with great pride that he celebrates Lorenzo Sanford’s victory and is encouraging others to do the same as well.

​PM said we will see the continuation of the small business development fund and grant funding to new and existing small businesses, and he provide 100 new homes for the Kalinago people.
