NYCD to hold 9th Executive Inauguration Ceremony on May 9th 2016

The National Youth Council of Dominica (NYCD) will On May 9th hold the Executive Inauguration Ceremony of the incoming NYCD Executive Board 2015-2017.
 
According to a release, eight (8) members of the incoming NYCD Executive Board were elected at the NYCD General Assembly on August 20th, 2015. The Treasurer and General Secretary were appointed by the incoming executive. CARICOM Youth Ambassadors also serve on the NYCD Executive Board and are appointed by the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Culture and Constituency Empowerment with input from the NYCD.
 
To date the incoming Executive has developed an Institutional Strengthening Strategy (ISS), an Executive Agenda and a Work-Plan (2015-2017) which will guide the Councils work over the next eighteen months. Key pillars articulated in the Executive Agenda are said to include, establishing an enterprise managed by the NYCD and ensuring that all eight (8) District Youth Councils are functional.
 
The ceremony will be hosted at the Fort Young Hotel from 6:30 p.m.
