OECS 2-day meeting is geared at examining the health status of the OECS region hosted by Dominica10/13/2016 Dominica is for the 4th time hosting the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States Pharmaceutical Procurement Service Policy Board on its 30th anniversary as well as the 3rd Council of Health Ministers Meetings. The meetings will be held at the Fort Young Hotel under the theme "The OECS health sector, fit for purpose." The OECS Pharmaceutical Procurement Service aims to reduce the cost of pharmaceuticals for members of the OECS, a movement birthed from efforts by past PM of Dominica the late Dame Eugenia Charles. The 2-day meeting is geared at examining the health status of the OECS region and improve the path of health care delivery and maintenance in the upcoming year. Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health Helen Royer says the meetings are essential to address health issues of recent times and expects positive long-term outcomes for the health sector.
