Officials say all 7 health districts in Dominica are now fully equipped with their own ambulances1/14/2016 All 7 health districts around the island are now fully equipped with their own ambulances. This is because the last district on island, the St Joseph district was Wednesday provided with a new ambulance. The ambulance which was made available by the government of Dominica was handed over by the Minister of Justice, Immigration and national security Rayburn Blackmoore. He says despite the economic challenges being faced in Dominica, he is pleased that all the districts have been equipped.
Chief Fire Officer Josiah Dupuis commended the Maintenance Staff at the Fire Department for transforming a passenger bus into a fully operational ambulance. He says this new ambulance is meant to improve the pre-hospital service for the district.
Parliamentary representative for the St Joseph Constituency Kelver Darroux urged the officers to take care of the ambulance.
