Opposition Leader concerned about the slow pace of rehabilitation of following the passage of Erika
Opposition Leader Lennox Linton is of the view that nothing constructive is being done about the rehabilitation of Dominica, in the post Erika period. Linton has strongly advocated for priority to be given to the resettlement of residents of Petite Savanne and Dubique.
And although PM Skerrit announced earlier this month that the residents of Petite Savanne and Pichelin will be relocated at Bellevue Chopin as soon as government acquires some 44 acres of land there, Linton says the residents remain in a heightened state of anxiety.
Meanwhile, he has expressed concern over the procurement process of construction projects. He is accusing the Government of administering contracts to its supporters without tendering the projects.
