Opposition Leader fears the Money Laundering legislation passed in Parliament on Monday is ineffective
Opposition Leader, Lennox Linton, believes the Money laundering legislation passed in Parliament is ineffective, unless an added amendment is made, to ensure that authorities are mandated to conduct investigations into these matters.
The latest amendment made is simply set to view those who have knowledge of Money laundering activity, and who fail to report the matter to the proper authorities, as part of the scheme.
Linton stated that an accompanying amendment to the one brought before the parliament should be made, so as to ensure investigation and prosecution of all those involved in Money laundering activities.
