UWP Leader Lennox Linton has responded to statements made by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, regarding a threat made to him by an alleged supporter of the DLP in a press conference held last week.
Shortly after the UWP Leader’s interview with CBS 60 Minutes, a random Dominican citizen resident in the UK, made a video and posted it on Facebook, threatening the persons of UWP Leader Lennox Linton and UWP Senator Thompson Fontaine. Sometime thereafter, the same gentleman posted another video on Facebook, apologizing to Linton and Dr. Fontaine, for creating and posting the first video. Both videos went viral on social media. In a press conference held at the Dominica State House last week, Prime Minister Skerrit said, Linton was using this threat as a distraction, to what he refers to as Linton’s betrayal of Dominica’s development. Linton says he did not accept the gentleman’s apology, and that matter will likely be dealt with, legally.
