Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Lennox Linton has written to Prime Minister Roosevelt, expressing the concerns of residents of Marigot and the North East, over the situation of the Marigot hospital, which is now closed.
Health Services have reportedly been moved to the Wesley Health Center; but officials say they plan to relocate the Accident & Emergency (A&E) Department along with the health center back to Marigot. In a letter dated 10th June 2016, which was addressed to Prime Minister Skerrit and copied to Health Minister Dr Kenneth Darroux, Mr Linton informed government of the decisions taken, during discussions held by residents of the north east on Thursday 9th June 2016. Mr Linton is the MP for the Marigot Constituency. Among other things, his letter indicated that the people of the North East were requesting the following urgent actions by government:
