Opposition Leader Lennox Linton's motion for a vote of no confidence in PM Roosevelt Skerrit was rejected by Parliament today. Reports indicate that many persons expected the initiative to have worked against Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, however the Parliament went in the favor of the Dominica Labour Party, and despite’s Linton comprehensive explanation of the reasons for Dominica’s broken economy, this motion was rejected by members of the house. Fifteen elected Members of Parliament voted against it, Member for the Roseau South, Joshua Francis abstained, while Mr. Linton, who tabled the motion, Member of Parliament for Salisbury, Hector John and Member of Parliament for Roseau North, Daniel Lugay remained silent when asked by the Clerk of the House. Meanwhile, Portsmouth MP Ian Douglas asked for a divisional vote.
