The academic journey of over 350 students of the Dominica State College ended today as the institution held its 14th Commencement ceremony. Addressing the ceremony, DSC President, Dr. Donald Peters, offered a few words of encouragement to the students. He urged to not be afraid to do new things and take new paths of success. Meanwhile, Valedictorian, Al Parillon, urged his fellow graduates to ensure that they are putting their dreams first no matter their decisions following this graduation. During this auspicious ceremony, the DSC Board of Governors conferred 319 associate degrees and 34 certificates on students in a wide range of disciplines.
Also present at the occasion were the President of Dominica, His Excellency Charles Savarin and Mrs. Savarin, members of the DSC Board, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education Marcella Powell and Director of Gender and Bureau Affairs Kyra Paul.
